| SWISSFLOAT SHAFT | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
|
The
Swissfloat is the most versatile motorized
float on the market. The instrument grinds fast, it is safe and easy to use, the shaft can be rotated, the head is thin and no daily maintenance is required. The Swissfloat is available in three sizes: a 21 inch and a 16 inch slimline model with disk guards and a 7 inch incisor model with no disk guards. |

| The
different shafts are interchangeable and can be used with the same
motor. The shaft can be freely rotated.
The classic Swissfloat had been designed 20 years ago. It was 21" long and had a bulky head that was designed for large warmblood horses. In 2002 the thinner Swissfloat Slimline was introduced with great success. |

| Swissflaot is now
offered with the traditional
21" shaft and a shorter 16" model. The 16" shaft is long
enough for working on horses of any breed, but some clients prefer
the longer 21" model, especially when working with draft horses. The shorter 16" model is more popular because is easier to handle, and more practical for incisor work. Taller people tend to buy the longer 21" model more frequently. The longer model might be easier to guide having a better grip of the shaft for assistance. The regular Swissfloat is very versatile, and great to float hooks, points and incisors. However the shorter 7" model without disk guards is the instrument of choice for incisor work. |

| A belt drives the
rotating disk, and no gears are in the head of the Swissfloat. This
results in a maintenance free design that is much thinner than
instruments from competitors. The disk guards are designed to
protect the mucosa, and at the same time, they help keeping the
instrument in place during grinding.
Please refer to the manual for more detailed instructions. We recommend cleaning the disk after each use with a brush and water and have the instrument serviced every 1-2 years. |
